Install Help

You need Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition on Steam. It's the base game plus every official DLC pack, and our servers use cars and tracks from all of them.

1. Install Steam and sign in.
2. Buy and install Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition on Steam, or get it cheaper here (a Steam key from Loaded). If you already own the base game, the Steam bundle page only charges you for the packs you're missing.
3. Start the game once through Steam. On the first start Steam installs some of the Windows components from step 2 for you.

Assetto Corsa, CSP and Content Manager need these Windows components. If one is missing, the game or Content Manager usually crashes on start or shows a missing .dll error.

To install them by hand instead: the first three come with Steam. Look in Steam\steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist and run the installers in the DirectX and vcredist folders. The 2015-2022 links above are Microsoft's own downloads.

Content Manager replaces the default Assetto Corsa launcher, and you need it to join our servers.

1. Download it from the Content Manager website.
2. Extract it to a folder of its own, for example C:\Content Manager.
3. Run Content Manager.exe and point it at your Assetto Corsa folder, which is usually Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa.
4. The free Lite version works on our servers. The full version adds extras but isn't needed.

Custom Shaders Patch (CSP) adds the weather, lighting and server features we use. Our servers need CSP 0.2.11 or newer.

1. Close Assetto Corsa.
2. In Content Manager, open Settings (top right), then Custom Shaders Patch.
3. Click Install, or update if your version is older than 0.2.11.

To check your version, open assettocorsa\extension\config\data_manifest.ini and look at the SHADERS_PATCH= line. Updating CSP keeps your CSP settings.

The name Content Manager sends is the name you race under.

1. In Content Manager, open Settings → Drive and set your player name. If you use a different name online, set that one too.
2. Use 2 to 32 characters, with no backslashes.

Your subscription tiers and leaderboard times are tied to your Steam account. Link the Steam account you race with to your Boosted UK account.

1. Log in with Discord (use the Discord account that's in our server) or with your email.
2. On My Account, click Link Steam and sign in to Steam.

Your account can only be linked to one Steam account, so make sure it's the one you race with.

You don't need to download content packs yourself. Our servers use Install Missing Content, which downloads any cars and tracks you're missing when you join. DLC packs are the exception: they come with Ultimate Edition (step 1).

1. Pick one of our servers on the Online tab in Content Manager.
2. If you're missing any cars or the track, click Install Missing Content.
3. A downloads panel pops up in the top right of Content Manager with a green indicator. Confirm the downloads there, or they won't start.
4. When everything has downloaded and installed, click Join.

Head over to our servers page to see what's online, then find us in Content Manager.

1. Open Content Manager and go to the Online tab.
2. In the search bar, type Boosted UK.
3. Pick a server and click Join.
4. See you on track!
